By the way, the first fast was incredibly successful (in God's eyes). That doesn't mean I didn't mess up sometimes (that's when you push delete and start over). God met me in my hunger. Yay! I pray that He does it again!

Cousin Sam - your words are way too deep for a young lady your age and experience! I have enjoyed reading your blog recently, and will admit that you are teaching me things, even as a 36-year old father of two....
I appreciate your Santify and Consecrate words. Just yesterday Melissa and I were discussing the topic of movies. She and I quit watching R-rated movies 11 years ago when we got married. Recently, though, in leading our men's group, I have found that most guys don't see an issue with what they put in their heads, including our pastors. Your comments are helping me formulate what I think and developing a discussion that I must have with them sometime in the very near future....
